Frequently Asked Questions
I don't have an envelope with an activation code. Do I need one?
You do not need an envelope with an activation code if you are activating a one (1) year DRS - or - you purchased a 3 or 5 year DRS Upgrade directly from ioSafe's web store. Only users that have purchased a DRS Upgrade from a third party reseller have an upgrade envelope with an activation code.
I purchased a system directly from ioSafe but can't find my DRS upgrade serial number or activation code.
When purchasing directly from the ioSafe website, there is no need to enter your DRS serial number and activation code. ioSafe has already recorded this information with your original purchase.
I purchased a system from an internet retailer (i.e. Amazon, Buy.com, Dell.com) but can't find my DRS upgrade serial number or activation code.
If you purchased your system with a DRS upgrade from an internet site like Amazon or Dell.com, you should have received a standard legal sized envelope (9.5" x 4") that contains both your DRS upgrade serial number and activation code. If you did not receive this information, please look carefully in your original shipping packaging and/or contact your reseller.
I purchased a system from my IT company in charge of my computer systems but can't find my DRS upgrade serial number or activation code.
If you purchased your system with a DRS upgrade from an independent reseller or Value Added Reseller (VAR), they should have the information on your DRS upgrade serial number and activation code. VARs who have a direct relationship with ioSafe receive an email from ioSafe containing the DRS upgrade serial number and activation code. In many cases, VARs can register the system on your behalf. If you did not receive this information or have further questions, please contact your reseller and/or look carefully in your original shipping packaging.
