The World's First & Only Fireproof Hard Drive with built in cooling fans.
What do you get when you combine heat generating hard drives inside a sealed fire safe? An oven!
The Achilles heel for electronic devices is cooling. As hard drive electronics get faster and hard drive disks spin faster, the heat generated increases.
Even with a very small amount of energy, the inside temperature can get incredibly hot. Every ioSafe hard drive or system, has overcome this challenge with a simple and elegant vent called FloSafe.

The patented FloSafeTM vents allow for cool airflow inside both the ioSafe USB hard drive and NAS storage server during normal operation. But when the room temperature rises above 200° F, the heat melts the fire resistant FloSafe vents to automatically shut and seal, cutting off outside heat and protecting the hard drive disks and data held inside the fireproof safe. This auto-detection of heat and auto-closure of vents do not rely on electrical power.
ioSafe hard drives ares protected with ioSafe's DataCast fire safe insulation. It has been designed specifically for hard drive data recovery in case of fire. The DataCast formulation forms a chemical bond with water molecules that, at temperature above 160° F, releases water vapor to limit the internal temperature of the unit. This enables the ioSafe data storage product to protect your data from heat damage while the unit is engulfed in fire.
Typical fires last about 30 minutes and have temperatures of approximately 800° F to 1000° F. The ioSafe fire resistant data storage product has been tested up to UL 72 one-hour standards at 1700° F and the ASTM E119 fire curve standard.
ioSafe drives can be used in many configurations to increase your data's chances of survival. Let us help you configure a system that is right for your backup and recovery strategy. Protect your digital assets today. Strengthen your business resiliency for the future.
