Storage devices that can survive fires and floods

E-mail Print PDF

Until now, users have been looking for and companies have been developing solutions for the one remaining flaw in disk drive technology. That flaw is that disk drives do not do well in natural disasters where floods and fires can destroy their precious information. But that flaw has now been removed by ioSafe, a leading supplier of processes and technologies that make electronics disaster proof.

In the past century, important business transactions completed on paper were protected in disaster proof safe technologies. Today, with all things being digital, a similar need exists to protect

  • digital transactions,
  • electronic documents,
  • corporate databases or
  • even the precious memories saved in digital photo albums.

Unlike paper, which can be protected in an air-tight safe, electronic components generate their own heat during normal operations and need to have cooling to ensure continued operations. ioSafe advances the time-trusted safe technology into the digital world, providing disaster protection for electronic components and digital storage while meeting the challenge of keeping these devices cool during normal operation.
